About Us

What we do

We are exploring participation and disengagement among immigrants to Canada and we are developing a plan to make it easier for newcomers to become active in their communities. We are looking for input from newcomers, community organizers, and local policy makers.

Who we are

We are a collaborative team of researchers and practitioners from the University of British Columbia and social service agency S.U.C.C.E.S.S.. The Vancouver Foundation provides financial support for this research project.

We want to hear from you!

If you are a newcomer to Canada, or a community organizer with an immigrant background, we would like to learn from your experiences, positive and negative. We provide a token of appreciation in the form of a $35 gift card. 

We are also seeking input from politicians of immigrant background.
